A new card can settle a missed membership payment

Saving or choosing a card now tries the missed membership payment automatically. Staff can change the membership card without charging it, and members can see which saved card their membership uses.

When a member saves a new card after a missed renewal, the platform now makes
that card the membership's card and tries the outstanding payment. This applies
on your website, in the app and through a secure add-card link.

- **Members can recover without pressing Pay now again.** A successful payment
restores membership access through the normal payment process. A decline or
bank verification request still needs the member's attention. Check the current
payment status before trying another payment.
- **Choosing a default card also updates the membership.** It applies to the
member's live subscription memberships at your venue and attempts an unpaid
  renewal on that card.
- **Staff card changes do not charge.** Staff can set a client's membership card;
collecting the missed payment remains a separate action in Billing.
- **A card that pays a missed renewal can become the membership card.** When a
recovery payment uses a card saved on the subscription's customer, the platform
adopts it for later renewals, including payments from Stripe's invoice page.
- **New cards use the membership's billing account.** If that account cannot be
verified, card setup asks the member to try again instead of saving elsewhere.

Saving an additional card leaves a healthy membership alone when another default
card already exists. Repeating an interrupted card update keeps the original
payment identity. Websites and the app can also show which saved card the
membership currently uses.
