Decide how late clients can change an appointment themselves
Set a cutoff after which clients contact you instead of changing appointments online. Paid appointments require staff assistance unless eligible self-service terms were accepted and the service is enabled.
You can now choose how close to an appointment a client is still allowed to cancel or move it themselves. Set it to 24 hours and a client with two days' notice changes their own booking as usual, while someone with two hours to go is told to contact you — so the last day belongs to you, not to a form. **This is not the late-cancellation fee.** The fee is set on each service and decides what a late cancellation *costs*; it never stops anyone. The new setting decides whether a client can act online at all, and charges nothing. The two are completely separate, so you can charge from 24 hours out while still letting people cancel online until two hours before — or the other way round. Find it under **Appointments → Settings → Online changes by clients**. Nothing changes until you set it: every venue starts with clients able to change their own appointments right up to the start time, exactly as before. Authorized staff can still manage changes outside the client cutoff, subject to the booking’s payment, refund and availability rules. **Packages and paid appointments need the right workflow.** Package appointments continue to require staff assistance. Paid or deposit appointments also require staff assistance unless the booking qualifies for the enabled paid-appointment self-service flow and the client accepted its refund terms at checkout. When that rollout is enabled, owners can opt new paid single-appointment checkouts into those terms in Appointment settings. Eligible clients use the complete-visit management page, which checks the cutoff and their accepted refund terms. Earlier payments without those terms keep requiring staff help.
Undoing a scheduled membership cancellation works again
Undoing a scheduled cancellation — including cancelling a scheduled move to Flexible — was refused with a payment-provider error. It goes through now; no membership was changed by the failed attempts.
