Past-start custom membership amounts now charge today
Starting a membership from a past date with a custom amount due today now creates and charges that invoice. Stripe was leaving the amount pending until the next renewal, so Confirm failed.
When staff start a membership from a past access date and enter a custom amount to collect now, Confirm charges that amount today. Stripe does not put that custom amount on a first membership invoice when the next renewal is in the future and elapsed time is not prorated. Bookingbible now invoices the pending custom item immediately and charges the saved card, same as any other desk first payment. If Confirm was already clicked and showed a creation-key error, click Confirm again on the same sale. Do not close the dialog and start a new membership — that would create a second Stripe subscription.
Agree a membership price even when access starts in the past
When staff start a recurring membership from a past access date, they can now also agree a discounted rate for the full cycles ahead. Today’s past-start amount stays whatever they chose; the agreed price begins on the next full cycle.
