Payments keep the brand that sold them

Payments keep the brand of the pass, booking or order they pay for; staff can choose it at the desk and record it for older brandless passes.

# Payments keep the brand that sold them

Prepared change: a new payment takes its brand from the record it pays for — the booking behind a cancellation fee, the pass behind a renewal or freeze, a workshop or appointment order, a refund's original payment, or the course it pays for. A recorded brand never changes to a different brand afterwards. Where the records disagree, the brand is never guessed and the payment is never blocked: it is kept as written and flagged for review.

Pass details show **Sold under** with the brand and how it was recorded. Staff selling a pass or membership at the desk can choose the selling brand; venues with several brands can require that choice under Settings → Brands once every desk surface they use offers it.

For older passes sold without a brand, staff with pass and brand permissions can record the original selling brand once, with a note, for one pass or for all brandless passes of a pass type; that brand's rules then apply to the pass.

Brand websites can send the brand a purchase is made under; purchases without one behave as before. Older payments are filled in only where a link recorded at the time of sale (or the promotion or course behind it) proves the brand. Nothing is sent: receipts already emailed are not resent, though a re-opened receipt may now show its brand. Brand revenue reports for past periods can move payments from "no brand" to their brand.
