Safer venue refunds with the correct payer
Guest payments now stay attached to the actual guest instead of appearing under a venue owner or another client. Payment details clearly show whether the purchaser is a registered client or guest, along with the available payer details, venue, item or class, date, payment method, amount, and payment source.
Guest payments now stay attached to the actual guest instead of appearing under a venue owner or another client. Payment details clearly show whether the purchaser is a registered client or guest, along with the available payer details, venue, item or class, date, payment method, amount, and payment source. Venue owners and authorized finance staff can review a full or partial refund before it is sent. The review shows the exact recipient, amount and currency, purchase details, original payment method, and financial consequence. A reason is required, and higher-risk refunds need an additional confirmation. The customer refund and recovery of venue funds are shown as two separate statuses. This means a completed customer refund is never described as pending simply because recovery from the venue is still processing. Booking Bible does not currently offer refund cancellation. Some card refunds can be canceled only briefly in Stripe's Dashboard, and Stripe does not promise that its embedded Payment Details component exposes that option. Until test-mode evidence proves a safe, exact-refund recovery path, staff can contact the customer and create a new repayment link after a completed mistaken refund. Booking Bible never charges the customer again without their consent. The confirmation also makes clear that Stripe does not return the original processing fees when a refund is issued. Those fees and any separate venue-funds recovery remain visible in the financial record.
