The gift-card balance page and Wallet → Gift purchase history now offer
**Scan QR / barcode** beside manual entry. Camera access is optional and starts
only after the client asks. Images stay on the device, and closing the scanner
stops the camera. If permission is blocked, typing or pasting still works.

Scanning never redeems a gift automatically. Clients check the captured code
at the selected venue and review the gift before choosing what to do next.

Consumer and venue-branded app support is in a companion native update that
requires a new app binary. It is not available in already installed binaries
through an over-the-air update alone. Where the app's existing external-link
policy permits it, clients explicitly continue to the venue website to review
the gift; scanning does not bypass that policy or redeem it in the app.
