Scan gift-card batches with your phone
Use a phone's rear camera to prepare batches of fixed-value or variable-value physical gift cards.
Settings → Barcodes → Bulk Scan Cards can now use the rear camera on a phone. Choose a pass, product, fixed-value gift card, or variable-value gift card, start the session, and hold each barcode inside the camera frame. Hardware barcode scanners and typed codes continue to work alongside the camera. For gift cards, scanning prepares the physical cards for sale but does not load money onto them. The balance is created only when each card is sold, preserving the existing payment, receipt, and audit trail.
