Unused finite class allowance can roll into the next period
Per pass type, leftover classes on a finite recurring membership can carry into the next paid cycle. Off by default. Unlimited memberships never carry. Paused or ended passes never carry.
# Unused finite class allowance can roll into the next period Owner-facing. Not a client Update Center send. Off for every venue until an admin turns it on for a specific pass type. A recurring pass that is **not** unlimited (classic `classes_per_month`, or a Flexible recurring class pack with a finite quantity) can keep unused leftover classes when the next paid cycle starts. Remaining is grant + leftover − usage. The nightly refresh and the renewal webhook use the same SQL figure. Does **not** apply when: - the pass type flag is off (the default) - the membership is unlimited, including a Flexible unlimited selection - the pass is paused at the new cycle start, or cancelled / terminated The admin flag is hidden on unlimited types. When it is on, staff can also turn the **Unused classes rolled over** client notice on or off like the other pass-type notification overrides. That notice is opt-in (default Off) and only sends when leftover actually carried. Member and admin clip displays show the carried leftover in the denominator, so 8 remaining of 5 contracted + 3 leftover reads 8 / 8.
Recurring gifts can be a prepaid term or a giver-funded membership
When a recurring pass can be purchased as a gift, the studio now chooses how that gift is paid.
